Just like you have a choice of where you fill your prescriptions, you have choice when it comes to your imaging services. Don't settle for the standard, enclosed, claustrophobic MRI scanners! Here at Upright MRI we have the ONLY truly open MRI scanners in the state of New Mexico. Our open Upright MRI gives us the ability to provide the same quality and range of scans as the "tube" MRI's but without the enclosure. Although patients can be scanned recumbent, standing, or bending, they are typically scanned in a comfortabel seated position watching a 50" flat-screen throughout the scanning process. We recently added a new 1.0 Tesla Extremity Magnet which is even more open, with two TV screens so that all scanning positions offer the same level of comfort. We use this scanner for knees, elbows, wrists and other extremity parts.
You can be assured – we have a commitment to excellence when it comes to the level of care we provide
Fonar Upright MRI
The unique magnet configuration of the Upright MRI, makes it the only scanner that allows for Position Imaging. Any region of the body can be scanned with the patient standing, sitting, bending or lying down... in virtually any position of pain or other symptoms. As one Upright MRI user puts it, "This magnet sees pathology that no other magnet can see."
Make All the Difference.
Lie-down MRIs cannot detect pathology that is visible only when the patient is scanned in am upright position. A lie-down scan may also underestimate the maximum degree of pathology and miss its dynamic nature. Only the Upright MRI gives the complete picture of the patients' problems.
Two televisions so no matter how you are positioned, you are relaxed and comfortable.
1.0 Tesla Extremity Magnet
For elbows, wrists, hands, knees, ankles, and feet. The most open scanner available, and we have the only machine of its kind in New Mexico! We also have two TV's in the room so no matter what position you are in, you will be comfortable and entertained!
comfort. quality care. convenience.
